Embracing Change

The only constant thing in life, I believe, is change. Sometimes, it is so challenging to me to speak "change." Change means adjustments. Change means acknowledgment. Change means acceptance of what is. Change is not something I am always willing to do. Sometimes, change really seems to suck at first.

And yet...well, acknowledgment, acceptance, and adjustments can all be such great things. Life can become so much better from those 3 "A's." Oh, we could add a 4th--appreciation!

Here are some good quotes about change:

"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced." ~ James A. Baldwin

"Change is inevitable--except from a vending machine." ~ Robert C. Gallagher

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain." ~ Maya Angelou

"If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies." ~ Unknown

"Everything changes, nothing remains without change." ~ Buddha

"We cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are." ~ Max Depree

"When you are through changing, you are through." ~ Bruce Barton

"Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely." ~ Karen Kaiser Clark

"A rut is a grave with no ends." ~ Alan Lampkin

"They must often change, who would be constant in happiness or wisdom." ~ Confucius

"Change is not made without inconvenience, even from worse to better." ~ Richard Hooker

So here's to change!

Let it come.

I especially love, "Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced."
